December graduate Megan Honaker and Dr. Julie O'Reilly (communication) recently returned from presenting their research, Standing Up on Campus: College Comics and Academic Climate, at the national Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association Conference in San Diego. They took time out from conference activities to visit Coronado Beach.

Andreas Oeste (School of Music & Theatre) has been named the third-place winner at the Sir John Barbirolli Oboe Festival and Competition, held April 1-8 in Port Erin Arts Centre, Isle of Man. The Barbirolli International Oboe Festival and Competition is one the most prestigious oboe events in the world
