    Commencement to be held in Seiberling

    The Commencement ceremony will be held in Seiberling Gymnasium at 10:00 am.

    Only those with tickets can be accommodated. Those with special seating needs must have made special arrangements by contacting Ms. Barb Gabel (bgabel@heidelberg.edu). Doors will open for those with special seating tickets at 9:15 am. General admission will begin at 9:30 am. At 9:45 am, any unoccupied Special Seating will be opened for general admission.

    Alternative viewing areas: Frost Lecture Hall, University Commons, online stream.

    9:15 am Line-up for the rain site in Seiberling: Undergrads line up on Saurwein 1st floor; Grads, faculty, and platform party line up on Saurwein 2nd floor.

    Tickets can be picked up in the Business Office on Friday, May 11, until 5:00 PM in University Hall, or on Sunday, May 13, at 9:00 AM.

    Helping with Alumni Weekend

    With the theme "One for the Books," Alumni Weekend will be held June 22-24, and everyone is invited!

    Whether you are a bookworm or not, we would love to have your help as we are still seeking volunteers for the weekend. 

    Here are just a couple of ways that faculty and staff can be of assistance:  

    • Escort guests by golf cart throughout the weekend 
    • Help with class banners following the parade of classes Saturday morning 
    • Attend various events throughout the weekend to greet and welcome guests

    New Student Orientation ready to kick off

    Orientation season is upon us! Here are some important details regarding Orientation.

    The five orientation dates are Friday, June 8; Monday, June 11; Monday, June 18; Tuesday, August 7; and Wednesday, August 15.

    Each Orientation day, the entire campus is invited to participate in the following five sessions so that our new students and their families have an opportunity to meet and interact with our amazing community. Please plan to attend!

    •  Check-In @ 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. on Campus Center Front Lawn
    •  Welcome @ 9:45 - 10:00 a.m. in Wickham Great Hall
    •  Lunch @ 12:30 - 1:15 p.m. in Hoernemann Refectory
    •  Parent Coffee Break @ 2:45 - 3:15 p.m. in Gillmor Atrium
    • Dinner @ 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

    The full orientation schedule as well as a draft of the Welcome Week schedule are available on Server Six in the folder called "Orientation Schedule." Please let Jacqueline Sironen know by July 1 if you would like her to add an event to the Welcome Week schedule.

    Prices are $1 for hardcover and 50 cents for softcover.
