Dr. Biswas at the LC-MS/MS Workshop on Environmental and Food Safety in Buffalo.

Dr. Saptashati "Tania" Biswas (NCWQR) presented her research work at three international conferences over the summer. The first presentation was at the 13th Annual LC-MS/MS Workshop on Environmental and Food Safety held in Buffalo, N.Y., where she presented her work, co-authored by Ellen Ewing (NCWQR), on method development and pilot study of acid herbicides in surface water. Her second presentation, also co-authored by Ellen, was at the 54th Annual North American Chemical Residue Workshop held in Naples, Fla., where she presented on method development work on glyphosate herbicide in water. Tania gave a talk at the 254th American Chemical Society Meeting held in Washington, D.C., on long-term concentration trends and loadings of pesticides in the Lake Erie watersheds. Her oral presentation was co-authored by Dr. Laura Johnson, Dr. Kenneth Krieger, Dr. Aaron Roerdink, Jack Kramer and Ellen (all NCWQR).

End-of-year inventory has been completed early.
