O'Reilly, students attend conference

The weekend before Thanksgiving break, Dr. Marc O'Reilly accompanied six students to the International Studies Association-Midwest conference in St Louis. Students who attended were senior Colin Higgins, junior Savannah Naugle-Baker, sophomores Robert Atha and Sam Stohlman and freshmen Hannah Petitti and Paul Reese.

While at the conference, Colin presented a paper on gender-based violence in post-conflict African societies and was a panelist for Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation in Africa. Marc a paper, titled A Mixed Legacy: Obama's Middle-East Policies. Dr. Wes Renfro, '03, was the discussant on my panel, which was titled Foreign Policy Challenges in the Middle East. Marc also participated in a roundtable on online education and served as a discussant on a panel titled Undergraduate Research: Domestic and Global Security Issues.

End-of-year inventory has been completed early.

You will start to see an increase in activity on campus in the upcoming days and weeks.
