Dr. Nate Beres recently accompanied 10 natural science students to Tennessee, where the highlight was a daylong tour and interactions with scientists at the prestigious Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Although the students have varied interests and disciplines and ranged in class standing from freshman to senior, Nate said the trip exceeded expectations. Not only did the students get to witness science and technology, the importance of internships and student research was reinforced.
