WSOS weatherization, home repair assistance

Human Resources has information from WSOS Community Action about free home repairs and assistance for home weatherization for eligible applicants.

The Seneca County Community Housing Impact and Preservation (CHIP) program offers no-cost home repairs and rehabilitation to income-eligible homeowners in Seneca County. These could include roofs, water heaters, furnaces, electrical, insulation, ADA modifications, plumbing and more. Funding for the program comes from the Ohio Development Service Agency, Office of Community Development.

The Home Weatherization Assistance Program offers free energy-saving upgrades to eligible residents of Wood, Sandusky, Ottawa, Seneca Erie and Huron counties, including insulation, new light bulbs, furnace repair or replacement and other measures designed to improve the home's energy usage and lower utility costs for residents.

Stop by the HR office on the second floor of University Hall for more information.
