Bio students share professional development experience

Dr. Justin Pruneski and 10 students attended the anual meeting of the Ohio Brance of the American Society for Microbiology April 8-9 at the Procter & Gamble Mason Business Center in Mason, Ohio.

Students attending were: Kelsey Ash, Rory Bage, Enya Granados, Rachel House, James Howard, Rafaella Mueller, Brad Palocko, Allison Perry, Rachel Raimondo and Kelsey Rossman

Kelsey Ash presented a poster on her independent research project, titled The Effects of Homemade Mouthwashes on the Bacterial Concentration in the Mouth and Brad presented a poster on his Honors research project, titled Isolation of Phages Against Staphylococcus aureus and Phage therapy of Wound Infections in Rattus norvegicus.

On Monday, the students shared with the campus community what they learned from this professional development opportunity.
