Alliance for Sustainability hosting Earth Week

Join the Alliance for Sustainability in a week-long series of events celebrating our planet. During the week of April 18, you can meet with AFS members to discuss recycling initiatives, campus beautification and hammocks, and the new fishtanks. You may even get the chance to name and sponsor a fish! All events are free and open to the campus community.

  • Monday- Recycled Statues go up on display in Gillmor Atrium! Submit a statue to AFS on Monday or earlier, and vote throughout the week!
  • Tuesday- Paint rocks and pots on Legacy Patio at 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday- The Plant Sale! A campus favorite returns from 10-2 p.m. on Legacy Patio. Plants will be from our very own greenhouse and local nurseries.
  • Thursday Morning- A Spring Cleaning Clothing Swap from 10-2 p.m.! Bring your unused clothing items to Legacy Patio and pick some new ones out! Leftover items will be donated after the event.
  • Thursday Evening- Speaker and Movie Night at 7:30 p.m.! We will be hosting a professional to speak on matters of sustainability and answer questions. Following the speaker, we will have refreshments and show episodes of Our Planet in University Commons.
  • Friday- The winner of the sculpture contest will be announced and receive a prize.

The bookstore will be closed for sales following Alumni Weekend through the 4th of July weekend as we conduct end-of-year inventory.
All Heidelberg faculty and staff are invited to attend an upcoming QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention Training on Monday, May 18th at 11:00 AM in Herbster Chapel.
Alumni Weekend 2026, "Clue at the Berg: Sweet Alma Home Edition," is coming soon, and everyone is invited! Please consider joining us and/or volunteering to be part of our team from Friday, June 19, to Sunday, June 21, 2026.
Summer positions are available at Krammes Service Center.
May 4th- May 9th the bookstore will be offering 10% off to students and 20% off to faculty/staff.
