Dr. Vonda Wright is a pioneering orthopedic sports surgeon, researcher, an expert in human performance, an authority in women's health, and a dynamic thought leader committed to redefining aging. With over 25 years of clinical experience, Dr. Wright has cared for more than 100,000 patients, using her unique blend of medical expertise and innovative approaches to help people go strong, live long, and age with power.

Dr. Wright is a fierce advocate for women's longevity and peak performance. Her award-winning research in musculoskeletal aging has transformed the conversation around health, emphasizing actionable strategies that foster vitality and optimal well-being. She frequently shares her insight with clarity and passion on shows like Diary of a CEO, Jay Shetty and Mel Robbins podcasts, as well as the Today Show, CBS, NBC, and "Dr. Oz" and in top publications including The New York Times and The Observer.

Dr. Wright has been at the forefront of advancing orthopedic care for elite athletes and active individuals, serving as the founding Chief of Sports Medicine at Northside Health System and inaugural Medical Director of the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. She has served as the lead physician for athletes at prestigious organizations, including the University of Pittsburgh, Georgia State University, the Pittsburgh and Atlanta Ballets, World Rugby, and the PGA. A prolific author and content creator serving nearly 2 million people in the digital community, Dr. Wright invites everyone to discover the tools for an unbreakable future in her 2025 book, “Unbreakable: Go Strong. Life Long. Age with Power.”

With her compelling messages and no-nonsense delivery, she not only informs but inspires action, encouraging athletes and active people of all ages and skill levels to reclaim their health and thrive at every stage of life. Dr Wright received a master’s degree in Oncology Nursing from Rush University in Chicago, attended the University of Chicago-Pritzker School of Medicine, completed her Orthopaedic residency at the University of Pittsburgh and her fellowship in Sports Medicine at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.

She leads a full life in Lake Nona, Florida, with her husband, 2-time Stanley Cup champion Peter Taglianetti, the youngest of their blended family of six children, her 85-year-old parents, and two old dogs.
