Win a U.S. passport! Birth certificate required

Don't forget to bring your evidence of U.S. citizenship back to campus.

During the next Study Abroad and Passport Fair on January 25 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the University Commons, an employee of the U.S. postal service will be available and you will have the opportunity to apply for a U.S. Passport.  

Everyone can use the convenience to apply for a passport right on our campus, but don't forget your evidence of U.S. citizenship & money in case you don't win. Only 1 can win the drawing!

To be eligible for the drawing, y ou must be a Heidelberg student.

Bring your ID (either an old passport or driver's license, NOT your Heidelberg ID) and evidence of U.S. citizenship (see website or below) back to campus, present it to Julie Arnold no later than 5 p.m. on January 24 and your name will be entered into the drawing. The drawing will be held at the Study Abroad Fair on Jan. 25.

You must submit one of the following. Your evidence must be an original or certified copy. Photocopies and notarized copies are not acceptable.

  • Fully-valid, undamaged U.S. passport (may be expired)
  • U.S. birth certificate that meets the following requirements: 
  1. Issued by the city, county or state of birth
  2. Lists your full name, date of birth and place of birth
  3. Lists your parent(s)' full names
  4. Has the date filed with registrar's office (must be within one year of birth)
  5. Has the registrar's signature
  6. Has the seal of the issuing authority
  • Consular Report of Birth Abroad or Certification of Birth
  • Certificate of Naturalization 
  • Certificate of Citizenship
