Non-perishable Food Collection
January 10, 2020
Starting Monday, Jan. 13, non-perishable food items will be collected in various locations on campus. These items will be part of the Food Drive packaging service activity on MLK Jr., Day ON!. Items will be sorted, boxed, and donated to the Salvation Army, FISH and St. Paul's Sharing Kitchen (in that order) based upon how many items are collected on campus. Please participate to the extent you are willing and able. All donations are welcome!
Drop-off Locations:
- Krammes Services Center
- University Hall
- Brenneman Music Hall
- Seiberling Gymnasium / Saurwein Health & Wellness Center
- Campus Center
Items Needed:
- Canned and/or jarred food items;
- Non-perishable pantry items (i.e., boxed pasta, boxed or bagged cereal, fruit cups, boxed granola bars);
- Baking, cooking, and pantry essentials (i.e., spices, oils, shortening).
Excluded Items:
- Opened items
- Items which exceed their "use-by" date
- Refrigerated items
- Individual items removed from their bulk packaging (i.e., a single granola bar)
