Four-legged friends to hit the hardwood

Heidelberg University Athletics will host a community Families Day on Saturday, Feb. 1. All local children are invited to enjoy a basketball doubleheader filled with entertainment for all. Half-time of both games will feature talents from the award-winning Performance Dogs of Ohio – Jackal, Biscuit, and Layla.

The women will play first at 1 p.m. followed by the men at 3 p.m. Both teams face Otterbein University.

Invite your family and siblings! Entrance is free for fans 11 and under. The Tiffin Women in Action will be on site to create balloon art and the Philathean Society will provide face painting. There will also be raffle baskets with numerous gift cards from local restaurants and Heidelberg merchandise.

Tickets can be purchased in advance online at bergathletics.com/tickets. You can find additional info here.

In the morning, the Admission Office will be hosting an open house for any high school-aged students interested in touring the campus, with free admission to the games afterward. This is a great opportunity to connect the Heidelberg community with Tiffin and the surrounding area.

To register for the open house, students can email visit@heidelberg.edu or call the Admission Office at 419-448-2330.
