Tips for on-campus printing

Terry Magers in the Print Shop has offered some money-saving tips for your on-campus printing needs:

• If you want to run something on Heidelberg letterhead, please submit just what you need printed on to the letterhead. It is much cheaper to run it that way (a difference of 05 cents to 18 cents)

• If you want something to be printed on 11x17, please remember to design it in 11x17 format. Terry is so far unable to modify it if it is sent as a PDF.

• It is less expensive to run things in the Print Shop, rather than in your office. Small printers are not made for large runs, which are very hard on your printers, thus causing repair bills depending on your package. Case in point: Determine how much toner you are buying by how many prints you are getting out of it. You will find out what I am talking about.

•  Most offices have a limit on number of copies at a certain price. After the limit is reached, it's better to print in the Print Shop.

Send your print jobs to Terry at printshop@heidelberg.edu for less expensive and more convenient results.
