Save a life! Plan to attend AED, CPR training on campus

Stoner Health & Counseling Center is offering three training sessions on the use of AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and CPR. The sessions, which will be conducted by Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division and EMS, will feature demonstrations about how to properly use the AEDs and start CPR – critical functions to help someone who may be experiencing a sudden cardiac arrest situation.

As you may know, Heidelberg has received a generous gift of 35 new AED units from alumni couple Dr. Ernie and Bonnie Estep, both '63. It’s important that as many students, faculty and staff members as possible become familiar with the AEDs and how to use them. Please note that this is not a certification class, but rather a demonstration.

Training dates are as follows:

  • Tuesday, April 4, at 11 a.m.
  • Tuesday, April 18, at 11 a.m.
  • Tuesday, May 2, at 11 a.m.

Set aside this time and learn how to save a life! All training sessions will be held in The University Commons. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend one of the sessions. Registration is requested but not required, Please contact Janelle Baldosser, director of Stoner Health & Counseling Center, at (419) 448-2041 or email jbaldoss@heidelberg.edu to sign up.
