Student Commencement speaker chosen

The final pieces of the 2019 Commencement ceremony are in place. On Tuesday, following the annual selection audition process, senior communication major Kaylea Bowers was chosen to give the student address at Commencement on Sunday, May 12, at 10 a.m. The title of Kaylea’s speech will be “Defeating Dogma.”
The committee also selected senior theatre major Sam Stohlman to deliver the remarks at the Student Awards Ceremony on Friday, April 26, at 3:30 p.m. The title of his remarks will be “Embrace the Impractical; Attack the Impossible.”
Nicole Frankart, who will be graduating with her master’s degree in counseling, was chosen to give the speech to represent graduate students. The title of her remarks will be “The Importance of Gratitude.”
