It's a masked, masked, masked, masked world

As we all contemplate what the gradual release of state restrictions will look like for all of us, one thing is for sure: Wearing cloth face masks when going out in public is going to be the norm for months to come.

Janelle Baldosser, CNP, director of the Stoner Health & Counseling Center, recommends that everyone get used to wearing masks for the foreseeable future.

“While it feels strange, this is going to be with us for a while,” Janelle said.

Heidelberg is following a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendation as well as a plea from Dr. Amy Acton, the director of the Ohio Department of Health for everyone to protect themselves and those around them from getting sick by wearing masks in public.

Janelle seconds Dr. Acton’s recommendation and asks everyone to “don your mask.”

There are a number of local resources available if you need masks.

  • A group of local businesses is making available one free mask to every resident in Seneca County. Due to overwhelming response, though, the parameters of the program are changing. You can request your free mask by completing the form at SenecaCountyMasks.com.

Anyone who needs a mask can also contact Janelle at jbaldos@heidelberg.edu and she will make sure you get one.
