September 11 Remembrance

This year to remember the events of September 11, 2001 we invite everyone on campus to stop by the Peace Pole in front of Campus Center to remember those who died 19 years ago as well as those who sought to rescue and rebuild. This year due to COVID-19, we will not have a gathering. However, we invite you to lift up a prayer for peace or to simply pause in silence. The Peace Pole represents a language from each continent, some of the major faith traditions, and the native tongue of Northwest Ohio: English, Chinese, Spanish, Hindi, Japanese, German, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Sanskrit, Pali, Wyandotte. Each phrase translates into the meaning of: May Peace Prevail on Earth.
