PACE needs 50 coaches

Partners in Academic Coaching for Excellence (PACE) is a partnership between Seneca County Juvenile Court and Heidelberg University to provide tutoring services to students on probation.

The goals of the PACE program are to assist students in the completion of homework, to strengthen students’ literacy skills and to provide students’ with positive insights into school, education and learning.

Heidelberg students (coaches) assist students in homework and literacy skills while encouraging a mentor connection. Coaches need BCI/FBI reports (at no cost to the coach). Students and coaches may meet at any mutually agreed upon time and location. PACE asks for a 1 hour/week commitment.

Currently, PACE is in need of 50 coaches for this academic year. You can learn more about PACE here and if you're are interested in becoming a tutor, you can submit your application here.

Please contact Karen Jones at x2130 or 740.360.5505 for additional information. You can also email kjones9@heidelberg.edu with questions.
