Stoner Health Center COVID-19 procedures
September 20, 2024
Stoner Health & Counseling Center would like to update the HU community on current COVID-19 procedures on campus.
The recommendations suggest returning to normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, symptoms are improving overall, and if a fever was present, it has been gone without the use of a fever-reducing medication. Isolation is no longer required. Please contact the Health Center if you have had a positive COVID-19 test.
As part of the guidance, the Centers for Disease Control provides active recommendations on core prevention steps and strategies:
- Staying up to date with vaccination to protect people against serious illness, hospitalization, and death. This includes flu, COVID-19, and RSV if eligible.
- Practicing good hygiene by covering coughs and sneezes, washing or sanitizing hands often, and cleaning frequently touched surfaces.
- Taking steps for cleaner air, such as bringing in more fresh outside air, purifying indoor air, or gathering outdoors.
The Stoner Health Center has free COVID-19 home tests available, located outside of the Health Center.
Please contact Janelle Baldosser, CNP, with any questions.
