Operation Street Smart returns

The MAC program and the Criminology Department are once again pleased to bring Operation Street Smart to campus. Please join us for Operation Street Smart on 10/22/21 from 9am-12pm. The training will be in Zoom.

Shawn Bain and Michael Powell both retired from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, where they were involved with canine units, SWAT, and special investigations. Michael Powell supervised the Ohio High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) federal task force in Columbus. He was instrumental in creating “Operation Street Smart” for the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office in 2002, and continues these trainings today. These trainers bring a wealth of information about drug trends across the US, patterns throughout the world, and what is specifically happening here in Ohio.

Please register for the event by 10/15/21: https://forms.gle/Zi1nHY6dNQ4Ce2B66

A Zoom link will be sent out to those that have registered two days before the event.

If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Sarah Lazzari: slazzari@heidelberg.edu
