Help needed with HS research project

Senior Health Sciences students Michael Schuller and Nicole Tennison are conducting research to see how exercise impacts peak expiratory flow. The purpose of the research is to see if there is a correlation between the percent heart rate after exercise and peak expiratory flow.

There is a questionnaire portion as well as a pulse and peak flow portion where you will be asked to breathe into a peak flow meter. We will ask you to complete one questionnaire, run on a treadmill at a challenging, yet comfortable pace for five minutes, and have your pulse and peak expiratory rate measured two times during the session. The session should take no longer than 20 minutes and is completely voluntary.

No extra credit will be given for participation in this research. You are invited to Saurwein Conference Room 232 any day from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, November 13-Thursday, November 16. You can come on whichever day is most convenient for you.

If you have any questions please contact us. Michael can be reached at (216) 526-2111 or by email, mschulle@heidelberg.edu. Nicole can be contacted at (614) 824-8625 or by email, ntenniso@heidelberg.edu. You can also contact our faculty advisor, Jena Suffel, at jsuffel@heidelberg.edu.

Thank you for your time and participation.
