Parkhurst became Heidelberg’s partner in Dining Services in June 2017. With Parkhurst Dining at Heidelberg, you'll enjoy fresh, made-from-scratch food and menus that focus on seasonal items and provide continuous selections that change throughout the day.

All students living on campus (paying room and board) will be able to enjoy unlimited access to Hoernemann Refectory, which will have new, extended hours (from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Monday - Friday and 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday).

Meal Plans

A meal plan gives you unlimited access to Hoernemann Refectory, the main dining hall on campus. This is covered by your board rate.

Berg Bucks & Flex Dollars

All meal plans now come with Berg Bucks! You just have to choose between $150, $250, or $350. If you run out of Berg Bucks, during the semester, you have the option to add Flex Dollars. Flex Dollars do not expire, they carry from one semester to another, and spend just like Berg Bucks. If you would like to add Flex Dollars, all you need is a credit card and visit our website, https://heidelberg.catertrax.com.

Just look for the Flex Dollars button, and follow the steps identified there. Berg Bucks can be used at any of our retail sites such as Berg Bistro 1850, giving you the flexibility to grab a quick snack or coffee, with money loaded to your student ID card. You can also pay with cash or credit card at any dining facility but having money right on your ID card is a nice option. Just remember, Berg Bucks expire each semester unlike Flex Dollars, so remember to check your balance to know how much you have left.

All students, need to indicate what meal plan option (or add-on if any) they would like on the housing application. To choose your meal plan options, log into OASIS and go to “My Housing” and select a meal plan. Prices and descriptions have been added to assist you. Dining Locations

Hoernemann Refectory

Heidelberg’s main dining hall has something for everyone. Enjoy all-you-care-to-eat dining serving breakfast, lunch and dinner until 10 p.m. everyday.

Breakfast at the diner – Enjoy cage-free organic made-to-order eggs, pancakes, French toast, meats, began items, breakfast sandwiches, and of course, all the trimmings! On the lighter side, a yogurt bar, fresh fruit, and cereal are available daily.
The Kitchen –  The Kitchen is a versatile, multi-purpose station that features everything from traditional comfort food favorites to international flavors.
The Oven – Offering made-from-scratch pizza, calzones and stromboli. At one meal each day, the menu changes to offer an individually baked fresh-from-the-oven entrée accompanied by a side dish and fresh hot bread or a wonderful hot dessert. 
The Deli – Indulge in fresh, hot, made-to-order sandwiches with a selection of freshly-sliced meats, cheeses, and hand-cut vegetables. On occasion, usually at dinner, the Deli may be found to offer your choice of burritos, quesadillas and tostadas or it could be a Mediterranean Bar or even a Sushi Bar for that meal.
Market fresh – Market fresh salads, fresh stock soups and V2 vegetarian options. You can expect high-quality salads and unique hearty soups made from traditional homemade stocks at these stations. V2 will feature composed and build-your-own, delicious vegan and vegetarian entrees.
Clean Plate – Clean Plate is the designated allergen free zone to better cater anyone with food allergies or dietary restrictions.

Berg Bistro 1850

Enjoy a new exciting menu in a cozy, modern atmosphere with inside and outside seating, TV’s, and a fireplace. The Berg Bistro 1850 accepts cash, credit and student Berg Bucks. The updated menu includes elevated quality ingredients and from-scratch preparations. We'll keep it simple with artisanal sandwiches, salads, soups and gourmet flat breads pizzas. Top it off with a hand-spun milkshake or a delicious Crimson Cup coffee drink. Don't have time to sit down? The Berg Bistro 1850 will feature an expanded coffee bar and pastries for those on the go! The Berg Bistro 1850 will still host the monthly Pints with Professors event, the weekly coach’s radio broadcast, as well as trivia nights.
