It’s a great day to be a Heidelberg Student Prince, and I’m happy to tell you why.

At Heidelberg, we are all on the same student-focused team.  When our students win, we all win.  That means education excellence, full engagement, total student success, four-year graduation destination, and preferred placement are the top priorities of our Core Student Mission.

We are invested in giving our students big opportunities and life advantages from learning in the classroom, growing outside of it, and becoming a part of our dynamic campus family.  When we are successful in preparing our students to lead a life of purpose with distinction, we fulfill our institutional promise.

While we take academics seriously, we like to make learning fun and exciting.  It’s part of our holistic approach to education.  Through our HYPE Career Ready® program, we’ve welcomed the likes of Bill Nye “the Science Guy,” Shark Tank’s Daymond John, astronaut Jim Lovell, Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson East, NFL sportscaster Pam Oliver and actor Terry Crews to campus to inspire and motivate our students.

We play together, compete together, eat together and laugh together.  But primarily, we learn together.  That hasn’t changed in nearly 170 years.  Our rich traditions underscore what it means to be a Student Prince.  In just about any profession you can think of, we have alumni who have excelled in their field and who are willing to “pay it forward” by networking with current students to serve as mentors and as conduits for internships and job opportunities.

In its uniqueness, the name Student Prince distinguishes Heidelberg University among its peers.  Our transformed campus and facilities, our exceptional faculty, our strong and relevant academic programs, our specialized science labs, our exciting co-curricular programming and our student support resources also distinguish us.
