PURSUITS: January 2016

On Nov. 20-22, Dr. Marc O'Reilly (political science) participated in the annual conference of the International Studies Association-Midwest in St. Louis. Marc presented a paper titled The Strategy and Politics of Retrenchment: U.S. Policy toward the Middle East; participated in a roundtable titled International Studies Undergraduate Programs: Innovations and Opportunities; served as chair of a panel titled Refugees, Human Rights and Political Instability; and served as the discussant for a panel titled How I Taught Middle Eastern Politics For the First Time Using a Syrian War Project-Centered Approach. Heidelberg seniors Meghan Yost, Julia Lachowski and Josh Hinkel attended the conference with Marc.
