Writing community honors one of its own

Dr. William Bradley

Dr. William Bradley was passionate about creative writing and was an advocate for female writers. After his passing last August, William’s friends and creative writer colleagues came together to establish a writing contest in his memory. The winning essay will be published in one of his favorite literary magazines and proceeds from the prize will assist the English Department in bringing to campus accomplished writers to interact with students. Creation of the award was overwhelming and heartwarming for William's wife, Dr. Emily Isaacson. It speaks to how much people appreciated William and his tireless promotion of other writers. If you have a non-fiction essay that you would like to submit to the contest, you can use this form. The deadline is March 15.
