PURSUITS: Week of Feb. 23, 2016

Dr. Doug McConnell (School of Music & Theater) attended the 2016 meeting of the Southeastern Composers Forum at Campbell University in North Carolina, where two of his organ works were performed by Dr. Monica Sparzak from Methodist University. Also participating at the conference was Dr. Jonathan McNair, a guest composer at the 2014 Heidelberg New Music Festival. Kyle Miller , an '09 'Berg alum, attended the Friday evening concert that featured compositions by both Doug and Jonathan. 

Dr. Cindy Lepeley (Spanish) attended a seven-hour training on Interpreting in Mental Health. The training was offered by the University of Michigan Health System's Medical Interpreting Training Academy in Ann Arbor on Feb. 13.

Dr. Kristen K. Williams (education) was recently appointed as a board member for Chrysalis Advantage Point, a vocational rehabilitation program serving individuals with developmental disabilities in Marion, Wyandot, Crawford and (soon) Seneca counties.
