Speech Team - Back-to-Back State Champions

Congratulations go out to Heidelberg's Varsity Speech Team members Katie Bauman and McCartney Betz. These individuals have persevered through a very stressful competition season and have come out on top for the second year in a row after winning the President's Division State Title!

This year's state championship tournament occurred on February 19-20 and included universities from all over Ohio. In addition to bringing home the team championship, Katie placed second in Rhetorical Criticism, fourth in Broadcasting and sixth in Persuasive Speaking, while McCartney placed second in Dramatic Interpretation and fourth in After Dinner Speaking - 4th place.

The team is now setting its sights on the Pi Kappa Delta National Tournament which takes place in late March.
