On Day of Giving, Heidelberg surpasses goal, thanks to donor generosity

Nearly 200 donors showed their love for Heidelberg on the annual Day of Giving on Valentine’s Day, helping to surpass the goal of $70,000 for The Heidelberg Fund.

Overall, donors gave gifts and pledges totaling $72,545 – up from last year’s Day of Giving total of $42,040.

“We always say every gift matters, whether it’s small or large, but it truly takes a village to hit a goal as large as this,” said Sydney Hieronymus, director of Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement.

Sydney called out celebrity callers, social media volunteers and of course, the donors who made this success possible with special thanks for helping to make the day such a success.

On this year’s Day of Giving, Heidelberg received gifts from 172 donors, including 21 employees (also an increase over last year). The average gift was $250. The majority of donors designated the area of greatest need for their gift to the Heidelberg Fund.

“Because of all of our generous donors, we are able to continue to open the doors of opportunity for our students. We are so grateful,” Sydney said.
