Congrats, Grant McMaster – Heidelberg's newest Ohio Forensic Association state champion

Grant McMaster

Heidelberg senior Grant McMaster spoke his way to another state championship at the Ohio Forensic Association's State Championship Tournament held at Cedarville University on Feb. 20-21.

Grant, a pre-med biology major from Clyde, Ohio, cemented his way into the OFA history books by winning the Informative Speaking State Championship. The topic of Down Syndrome, which is near to his heart, served as the impetus for his speech all season long.

In addition to his state championship, Grant was also recognized as the Quality Award State Champion for earning the highest rankings for all events in which he was entered.

As a team, Heidelberg closed out its season by earning third place in the President's Division among the schools entered. The team is coached by Dan Higgins.
