Students say thanks to donors en masse

Students added their names to a giant banner, just one way they expressed their thanks to donors during TAG Day, as SAA member Sara Ash (left) looks on.

Hundreds of students came together in The University of Commons Thursday to express their gratitude to alumni, parents and friends for their gifts and generosity toward making their ‘Berg experience possible and unforgettable.

The fourth annual TAG Day, short for Thank a Donor Day, was a huge success and tons of fun. Students signed more than 2,700 thank-you notes to donors, and those who are the recipients of named scholarships wrote personal notes of gratitude to their scholarship donors. Seventy students stopped by to write those personal notes.

Faculty members Trevor Bates, Traci Stark and Vicki Ohl got in on the TAG Day fun.

If you walked around campus on Thursday, you couldn’t miss the Thank a Donor tags that were placed in more than 400 locations, denoting the areas on campus made possible by donor contributions.

TAG Day was coordinated by the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving with great help from the 28 members of the Student Alumni Association.

 Thanks, 'Berg donors!
