SC Higher Ed Day gives high-schoolers a taste of college experience

More than 200 local and area high school students descended on the Heidelberg campus Wednesday to participate in the annual Seneca County Higher Education Day College Fair, organized by the Office of Admission.

In all, students participated from Seneca East, Calvert, Columbian, Hopewell-Loudon, New Riegel, Buckeye Central, Mohawk, Fostoria and North Central Academy.

As they entered Seiberling Gymnasium, the students were greeted by friendly representatives from more than 60 colleges and universities. At each university’s table, the students could pick up information about the various programs, academic offerings, extracurricular offerings and campus amenities that each has to offer.

Hopefully, the high schoolers left the college fair with a better idea about what they can expect from their own college experiences.
