Faculty celebrate scholarship, inquiry at 27th annual symposium

A snow delay of nearly two months couldn’t put a damper on the 27th annual Faculty Research Symposium, which finally took place in person on Thursday.

The symposium is a celebration of faculty creativity and scholarship. This year, a total of 11 ’Berg faculty and staff members presented recent and ongoing research. Some of the presentations will also feature students and faculty from other universities. The ultimate goal of the symposium is to give students a sense of what a professional presentation looks like and to demonstrate techniques they can apply to their own presentations. And, of course, the symposium also serves as a forum for faculty members to share their research and scholarly interests with the campus community.

New faculty members Lisa Kahle-Piasecki (pictured), Trish Berg and Nichole Griffin took advantage of the opportunity to showcase their work, along with veteran faculty members Sarah Lazzari, Stacey Pistorova, DoHee Kim-Appel, Ryan Musgrave, Barry Devine, Aaron Sell and Aaron Roerdink and staff member Jakob Boehler.

Josh Bowman is the faculty coordinator for the Faculty Research Symposium.
