Karaffa receives Berg-Falcon accounting scholarship

Congratulations to senior Kyle Karaffa, the winner of the 2017 Berg Falcon Master of Accountancy Scholarship Award.

The Berg Falcon scholarship is a partnership between the School of Business at Heidelberg and the College of Business atBowling Green State University. It is designed to recruit the best and brightest accounting students who want to take the next step toward a successful career in accounting. Students who have received their undergraduate degree in accounting from Heidelberg are considered for acceptance into the Berg-Falcon Master of Accountancy Scholarship Program.

Through the program, Heidelberg accounting students take an additional 30 semester hours of coursework to meet the 150-hour requirement to sit for the CPA exam via BGSU’s Master of Accountancy program, which meets the Ohio State Board of Accountancy requirements for obtaining the CPA designation.

"We wish Kyle Karaffa success in his graduate studies leading to a professional career in public accounting," said Dean Dr. Haseeb Ahmed. "I met Kyle while he was a senior in high school and I had firm conviction that this young man
will make all of us proud in his future endeavors."
