Kyrsten Lilly is equally comfortable hand stitching or using a sewing machine.

With a cast of nearly 50 and several wardrobe changes, what’s a small costume shop to do to get ready for Sister Act, the biggest musical of the year? Get busy sewing! And organizing. Senior Kyrsten Lilly, who has the dual responsibilities as Costume Shop foreman and playing the role of Sister Mary Theresa, has things under control. A seamstress since she was a child, Kyrsten and her team of three other students have a lot of costume pieces to keep track of for Sister Act, which features a cast of about two dozen nuns.

Sister Act opens Thursday in Gundlach Theatre and runs throughout this weekend. Visit the theatre website to reserve your tickets.
