Scrubs members brush up on interview skills

On Saturday, April 16, the Heidelberg University Medical Pre-professionals group Scrubs hosted its third annual mock interviews on campus. The event brought together local health professionals and members of the Heidelberg community to help students interested in applying to various professional programs practice essential interview skills.

Students who participated in the mock interviews were: Hannah Bardash, Shawn Beltz, Nick Coolidge, Tonya Heileman, James Howard, Kristen Keenan, Sam Malloy, Allison Perry, Rachel Raimondo and Kelsey Rossman

Each student completed two mock interviews, reflected on the experience and received feedback from the interviewers to help identify strengths and possible areas for improvement.

The Scrubs members and co-advisors, Dr. Bryan Smith and Dr. Justin Pruneski, would like to thank everyone who participated for making the event such a valuable learning opportunity for our students.

Local health professionals who participated were: Dr. Joel Consolo, Dr. Jeff Hoyda, Dr. Prasad Kakarala, Jennifer Perry, Dr. Brandt Weininger, Dr. Wade Young and Dr. Thomas Zaciewski, and from Heidelberg: Janelle Baldosser, Dr. Tania Biswas, Margaret Rudolph and Cindy Suter.
