Savannah Naugle-Baker named MAC Emerging Scholar

Savannah Naugle-Baker is the winner of this year's Chi Sigma Iota’s Emerging Scholar Award. The award is presented to a promising new counseling student who is an emerging leader and scholar in the counseling field.

All of the CSI 2019 inductees were eligible for this award and all were given the opportunity to apply by submitting a personal essay about how they embody the legacy of this award.

Savannah demonstrates character strengths of persistence, motivation, resourcefulness, professional and ethical behavior, openness to feedback and acceptance of other cultures and points of view. She is also someone who is a strong testament of how to weather a storm with both grace and grit; using adversity to strengthen their mission to humbly and passionately serve others as a counselor. She is someone who continues to have their arms open to healing others, recognizing that healing often times has to start with ourselves as counselors. Savannah is a role model and inspiration by being authentic in who she is and her experiences. Congratulations Savannah!
