Faculty Pursuits: Week of April 17, 2023
Dr. Lisa Kahle-Piasecki (Business) was a presenter at the April 19 Greater Toledo Chapter for the Association of Talent Development meeting titled Gen Z as Future Leaders. The presentation explored the changing demographics of the workforce and how Generation Z is expected to shape it. Sarah Shoots, current Heidelberg MBA student, was one of three panelists of young leaders discussing Generation Z and their values and expectations in the workplace and of leaders.
Dr. Emily Isaacson (English, Honors) is the author of a chapter in a new book, titled Transforming Leadership Pathways for Humanities Professionals in Higher Education, edited by Roze Hentschell and Catherine E. Thomas and published this month by Purdue University Press.
Emily's chapter is Academic Duck-Rabbit: Faculty Leadership at the Smaller College or University.
Dr. Doug Kane (Ecology) recently presented at the Ohio Academy of Science Annual Meeting in Piqua, Ohio. Doug presented Coldwater Creek Chloride, High Concentrations in a Tributary to Grand Lake St. Marys with co-authors Drs. Nate Manning and Laura Johnson (NCWQR) and Dr. Stephen Jacquemin from Wright State University- Lake Campus. Doug was also co-author of a poster titled Diet Composition of Perca vlavescens and Morone americana in the Central Basin of Lake Erie: Are Bythotrephes longimanus Becoming More Important in their Diets? presented by Sawyer Lorentz from Thomas More University who performed the research last summer as part of Ohio State University's F.T. Stone Lab Research Experience for Undergraduates program.
