Nearly 90 volunteers helped with the annual Civil War Trust Park Day event at the Johnson's Island Civil War Prison site on Saturday, April 2. It was the 13th year that Heidelberg has participated in this event. On Thursday and Friday, Dr. David Weininger and his wife, Lynda, assisted with the construction of the weatherport in preparation for the event, as well as several current and former 'Berg students.

One of the best accomplishments of the CWT Park Day, according to Dr. David Bush, was the erection of four interpretative signs at the site.
