... and conduct fun demo for families at YMCA

The Chem Club's grand finale demo at the YMCA Family Day.

On Saturday, April 21s, the Chem Club and Dr. Nate Beres put on a live chemistry demonstration show at the YMCA as part of the Y's Family Day activities. Students Melanie Cohn, Colin Ihrig and Kevin Scrudders conducted interactive demos for families. For their grand finale, the Chem Club ended the demo by dumping liquid nitrogen into the kiddie pool for all to observe the reaction. The Chem Club's demo met with such rave reviews that the YMCA asked them to return in the fall to present more demos for the kids.
