Health Sciences to offer camp for high-schoolers

The Health Sciences Division is offering its first-ever residential Health Professions Camp this summer.

Current high school students who will graduate between 2016 and 2019 will have the opportunity to explore a variety of health care fields, including athletic training, physician, physician assistant, nursing, nurse practitioner, dietitian and chiropractor.

Camp dates are Sunday, July 24-27 on campus. An additional CPR and first-aid course will be offered from noon-5 p.m. July 27.

According to camp coordinator Jena Suffel, participants will enjoy both classroom and hands-on learning activities such as casting, a team competition and much more. The camp is limited to 30 participants.

Cost for the camp is $225. Those who register by June 1 will receive an early-bird discount. For participants who wish to take the CPR course, the cost is $275. Full payment is required upon registration. You can register here.
