National Center for Water Quality Research staff members Dr. Laura Johnson, Dr. Rem Confesor and Dr. Tania Biswas were the guests of WBGU's Northwest Ohio Journal Thursday night. They talked about the NCWQR's mission to support the sustainable use of soil and water resources.

The NCWQR also hosted a Toledo TV news reporter Thursday for a story on the current heavy rain and its effect on the Lake Erie algal bloom situation. WTOL reporter Malena Caruso filed the report on Channel 11 about how the runoff from the current rainfall may affect the severity of the algal bloom this summer. Laura provided expertise for the piece during an interview in the lab.
