FACULTY PURSUITS: Week of June 20, 2022

Research conducted by Dr. Sarah Lazzari, assistant professor of criminology and sociology, and ’21 grad Alexa Hawk, ’22 grad Brooke Franz, December ’22 grad Kendall Wright and Shawn McWeeney from the University of Oregon has been accepted for publication in the International Journal of Offender Therapy and Comparative Criminology.

The group collaborated on their research – COVID-19, Quarantines, and Incarceration: Exploring the Resiliency of Individuals and Families Who Have Experienced Incarceration – for about a year. According to Sarah, they started the work last summer when they received a Summer Research grant. 

During spring break, Sarah, Brooke and Kendall traveled to Las Vegas to present their findings at the Academy of Criminal Justices and Sciences. The group also presented at the Faculty Research Symposium on campus in March.
