DeMayo Pugno gets Crain's recognition
Dr. Courtney DeMayo Pugno, the director and creator of Heidelberg’s Center for Teaching Excellence, has been recognized as one of Crain’s 2019 Notable Women in Education.
Those named to the Crain’s list have been designated as leaders in their workplaces and in the community, as nominated by students or colleagues.
In addition to developing, implementing and directing the Center, Courtney continues to teach two history courses each semester. She also is the co-chair of the Lichtman-Behm Genocide Lecture Series Planning Committee.
In its first year, the Center focused on student success by providing faculty the resources they need to help them deploy best practices in teaching and student learning. In its inaugural year, faculty were supported through a new Faculty Mentoring program, a Faculty Learning Community, an improved New Faculty Orientation program, technology training workshops and a HYPE Career Ready® Faculty Development programming.
Congratulations, Courtney!
