Athletics campaign surpasses $100K goal

To quote the Heidelberg fight song, Vict'ry shall be thine!

Perhaps fittingly, the mail delivered to campus on the final day of summer contained donations for the Berg Days of Summer athletics fundraiser that pushed the campaign up and over its ultimate goal. The campaign's total now stands at $100,001 -- one dollar over its $100,000 target.

In its first year, the Berg Days of Summer campaign was a comprehensive fundraising initiative that involved every athletic team. Each program set forth two important fundraising goals, relative to the size of the team. First, teams set a monetary goal for an intended target. Second, each team set a goal for the number of individual donors.

To date, 555 individual donors contributed to the campaign.

Heidelberg Athletics is grateful for the generosity of the friends and families of the players currently in the program and the alumni who once played. The support that our Student Princes receive is incredible.
