'Godspell' cast members perform at Seneca Opportunity Center

On Friday, September 27, a total of 17 Heidelberg students from the cast of Godspell headed out into the community to perform three musical numbers for students of The Seneca County Opportunity Center.

The cast's visit to the Opportunity Center is the latest example of a partnership between HU and the center that began in 2022. Most recently, last spring theatre students and Opportunity Center students partnered to perform A Barnyard Moosical in Ohl Concert Hall. This unique partnership allows individuals with disabilities to take the stage and perform in front of an audience. Throughout the semester, theatre students have conducted twice-weekly workshops and rehearsals at the Opportunity Center in preparation for the performance.

The Theatre Department looks forward to continuing the collaboration in the future, according to Theatre Director Karla Kash.
