Andreas Oeste

The Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Barbara Specht, is bringing a special concert to Trinity United Church of Christ on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 8:15 p.m.

Highlighting the concert will be Vivaldi’s Concerto for Oboe and Bassoon. Featured solo performers will be adjunct music faculty members Andreas Oeste (oboe) and Eric Rutherford (bassoon).

The concert also will feature works by Mozart, Dvorak, Bach and Handel.

Eric Rutherford

In addition to teaching at Heidelberg, Eric keeps an active chamber music and orchestral performance schedule. He is a current member of the Adrian Symphony Orchestra and has performed with various ensembles throughout the U.S., Canada, Denmark and China. He also has appeared with the Arbor Opera Theatre and orchestras in Ann Arbor, Toledo and Windsor.

Andreas, an Arkansas native, studied oboe performance and composition at the University of Central Arkansas. He performed with the Arkansas Symphony, the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas and the Fort Smith Symphony. As he pursues graduate studies at the University of Michigan, Andreas currently holds the position of principal oboe with the Battle Creek Symphony. Most recently, he performed Christopher Rouse’s Oboe Concerto with the University Symphony Orchestra.

We hope to see you at the concert.
