PURSUITS: Week of Oct. 31, 2016

Dr. Kristen K. Williams (School of Education) presented The Antiquated Curriculum:  Biased Representation of Family Structures in our Nation's Schools at the annual meeting of the Midwestern Educational Research Association in Evanston, Ill.  While there, she was appointed as chair of MWERA's Division E: Counseling and Human Development.

Dr. Doug and Joan McConnell (School of Music & Theatre) participated in the ordination ceremony for Pastor Jodi Nicholson Keith at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, in Cincinnati on Saturday, October 22. For the occasion, Doug wrote a new choral work, O, For a Thousand Tongues to Sing, and conducted the piece with a choir of 40 singers; Joan was at the organ.
