Scrubs members attend conference

Scrubs members and their professor, Dr. Justin Pruneski, at 2016 Midwest Pre-Health Conference.

Ten members of Scrubs, Heidelberg’s medical pre-professionals club, attended the 2016 Midwest Pre-Health Conference at Bowling Green State University on Saturday, Oct. 29, along with professor and advisor Dr. Justin Pruneski. Students who participated in the conference included: Ricquie Barker, Brianne Galbraith, Christine Galloway, Chase Hayden, Tonya Heileman, Shelby Kluck, Anastasia Lindemann, Meisha Nguyen, Tristan Phillips and Rebekah Sneary.

The group learned about a variety of health professional programs, such as medical, dental, physician’s assistant and nursing from keynote speakers, a panel of admission staff, a panel of students and a program fair. They also attended sessions related to preparing for admission interviews, crafting a personal statement and specific careers.
