Students: Sexual assault awareness 'is on us'

In September 2014, President Obama launched It's On Us, an awareness campaign to help put an end to sexual assault on college campuses. It's On Us asks everyone to make a personal commitment to step out of their comfort zones and be part of the solution. A group of six Heidelberg students is among those who have taken the challenge to heart. Last week, they participated in the Ohio Department of Higher Education's first-ever  Generation IX: Our Time. Our Power. Our Voices summit

Heidelberg participants in the Changing Campus Culture summit were (L-R): John Sharp, assistant director of counseling and disability services, Julie Hild, Erica Dame, Bethany Beaver, Margaret Bowers, Gaby Poliseno and Colin Higgins.

as part of Ohio's Changing Campus Culture initiative.
