#GivingTuesday: Thank you for your support!

On Tuesday, November 30, more than 200 ‘Berg donors joined millions around the world for #GivingTuesday, a global celebration of philanthropy. In all, they contributed more than $62,000 for Heidelberg initiatives in support of Student Princes.

“We are so grateful for our donors’ generosity, not only on this special day but every day,” said Kelly Lavelle, director of The Heidelberg Fund.

This year, Heidelberg designated eight programs or projects for #GivingTuesday support: the Concert Choir, the Marching Band, Model UN, the Student Emergency Support Fund, Theatre productions, the Pancoast Patio, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion scholarships and Miracle on Market Street: A Heidelberg Christmas.

A special shout-out goes to the Concert Choir and director Dr. Greg Ramsdell. Donors supported the choir to the tune of nearly $18,000. Also achieving great success was Model UN and Dr. Marc O’Reilly for securing donations totaling nearly $10,000. Those donations will go a long way to assisting the choir on its spring tour and the Model UN students for their trip to San Francisco, also this spring.
